Repeated (expensive) lessons – Transcript
So Radiant One in todays’ I am going to share a huge lesson that I apparently had to relearn just recently.
One of my – I don’t know if it’s a pet peeve or really one of the core principles of my teaching, my coaching, my mentoring, whenever I work with people whether it be in a group or in a one-on-one session, or really just talking to friends, is that I am always giving suggestions based on my knowledge and my experience and my gnosis.
Ultimately, you are the one who knows what is right for you. I can share my truth with you. I can share again my suggestions but ultimately it is up to you to sit with whatever resonates with you and go with that.
Which I know is something that goes against a lot of what many “experts” are teaching or saying. We’re being given these systems and then if you follow these systems and do X, Y, and Z, then this will happen.
Strengthen your intuition
However, we live as spiritual beings in a physical matter world and we have a connection that transcends anything and all things that I or any other coach, mentor, expert, whatever can tell you.
Therefore, my biggest mission is to strengthen that connection, that intuition, that inner guidance system, internal GPS as I like to call it within you so that you may know what is right for you, so that you may – yes, buy courses or programs or books but ultimately take what serves you and mold it into what really serves you.
Re-visiting of lessons
Apparently, I had the need for a re-visiting of that lesson for myself. Over the summer, I was fortunate and blessed to be guided by someone that I admire a lot and who is an amazing expert within her field.
She gave me – I’m not sure so much it was a suggestion. It was probably a suggestion but it was more of a “do this; you need to do this because you’re giving too much away” was essentially her message. Truth be told, she’s right on that.
“She’s the expert”
Thing was, I had already prepared parts of what I was doing and then she wanted me to change it into a different direction and into a different format. Rather than listening to my intuition – because I kind of “argued” with myself.
I kind of like, “Hmm. This doesn’t seem right.” But my internal dialogue was, “Well, she’s the expert. She knows so I’m going to do that.” And I did.
What happened was that it kind of stunted my inflow of clients and stunted my inflow of new people into my community, into my circles, into my services.
It took me a bit to realize what was going on.
The thing is, I’m not saying this to bash this person which is also why I won’t be sharing their name because I truly believe in them and what they have given me and the delivery – like the way that they’ve supported me has been outstanding.
It has nothing to do with them. It has everything to do with me not trusting my own intuition because they are the expert.
You hold your truth
I hear this very often again in my sessions when I sit with clients where I won’t “give them a clear solid answer.” Not because I don’t want to but because it ultimately won’t serve your highest.
I will give you suggestions and ideas and so forth but ultimately it’s up to them and to you to decide, “Well, which one do I need to run with? Which one seems right for me?”
No new boss
Because here’s the thing: You didn’t quit your 9-to-5 job or you didn’t leave the corporate world and your boss behind to just get another one in me.
This comes often when we’re insecure and there’s something that we really want, then we can tend to abandon our or not listen to our intuition.
So the thing was I hadn’t really realized that that was going on until I went back and I changed things into the way that I wanted them to be.
The flow happened almost immediately. It was like I had turned off a faucet and it was not even trickling.
It was like a full stop and then what happened that was basically overnight and over the past I guess it’s been 2 weeks now, things have started to flow.
I’ve had clients coming into my community. I’ve had people sign up for my newsletter. I’ve had people download my things and I’ve have people commenting and so forth.
So my purpose with this video is as always to inspire you but also to ask yourself, to invite you to ask yourself…
“Where have I or am I listening to an expert even though there is something within that is telling me this is off?” What I want to inspire you to do is to go back and tweak it and try it out and see what happens. Because I would say that chances are that you’re right.
Apparently, I thought I’d learned that lesson because I’ve been working with it for a number of years but apparently I needed to revisit it. So maybe it’s time for you to revisit yours as well and like I said, ask yourself, “Where am I following advice from someone” – whether it be me or someone else – “that doesn’t really resonate or sit with me because there’s something else that’s calling?” and then go tweak it.
So that is what I have for you today. I would love to hear your comments on how following your own intuition has guided you and led you to deeper satisfaction, more flow, and most of all, fulfillment and content.
